Khoo Kar Khoon
Khoo is a veteran and active mover in the advertising scene in Malaysia. Once voted Asia’s top person in Digital Advertising, Khoo started his career in the Corporate Care Department of Coopers and Lybrand in 1990, and laid his foundations in the advertising industry with Bates Advertising from 1991 to 1995 as the Cost Controller. He then became one of the key founders of the largest media specialist in Malaysia — Zenith Media — which was established in 1995. Khoo joined Nestle Products Sdn Bhd in 2000 as the Media Manager, and was appointed as the Communications Director in 2009. In his 17 years with Nestle, he was tasked to lead various marketing disciplines that include Advertising, Creative, Media, Digital, Consumer Insight and Public Relations for some of the top brands in Malaysia such as Milo, Nescafe, Maggi, Nestum and Kitkat. A Chartered Management Accountant, Khoo was also the President and Advisor to the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), Executive Member of the Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA), an Advisor to the School of Marketing, University Utara Malaysia (UUM), Board Member of ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulation) and Board Member of CMCF (Communication and Multimedia Content Forum, Malaysia).
Khoo was recently appointed as the Non-executive Director of Media Chinese International (MCIL), a Chinese-language media group formed by the merger of Ming Pao Enterprise Corporation, Sin Chew Media Corporation and Nanyang Press Holdings, in July 2016.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of Marketing Science, Kow is a veteran Commercial Leader and an expert in the industry specializing in Predictive Analytics, Innovation Consultation and Digital Marketing Measurement. Having set up and lead the Nielsen BASES China in 2006, as well as served as the Managing Director of Nielsen Malaysia in 2010 and the General Manager of Greater China, Lightspeed GMI, in 2012, Kow has a wide knowledge of Greater China and South East Asian market.

Charles Pei is responsible for company’s vision, strategy and infrastructure development. Before co-founding Laba, the company that owns WeiChaiShi, Charles served as the Chief Technology Officer at Scientific Games China. Prior to that, Charles spent 12 years with Oracle in the United States and China, holding a number of senior positions in product development, enterprise consulting and business development. Charles holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from New York University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Charles co-founded WeiChaiShi in January 2013 and has established the app to be the biggest crowd sourcing B2C platform in China. Now with presence in over 500 cities in China, WeiChaiShi has over 3.5 million registered users who have completed in excess of 7.5 million simple tasks.
